9 SPOTS IN MUNICH OLD TOWN YOU CAN'T BE MISSED

HI! I wanna show you some beautiful spots that I'm sure you don't wanna be missed to take a picture with. But first thing first, I wanna tell you a little about Munich or it can be called Munchen also in Germany. Munich is a one of big city, located in southern Germany. Based on what I saw, it's pretty crowded but it's not messed up. It's pretty tidy and clean too. Just like any other European city, it also has an old and modern side. I mean, not all corners in this city are like the old town. It has a modern building also, for example around the BMW Museum. It has a high modern building, but not as high as skyscraper.

So about the old town, Munich old town isn't that wide. You can stroll around there by walking and spend your half day there. I said half because it can be boring if you spend the whole day there. Ypu can go shopping, drinking a coffee, having a lunch, taking picture, being amazed by the architect, and also the most important thing, CAPTURING A MOMENT THERE. I'm not gonna waste more of your time, here there are!

1. Marienplatz

Platz means plaza in Germany and it's the most popular place in Munich so you really have to take a picture there as an evidence! This plaza is surrounded by historical buildings like Wurmeck and Neues Rathaus. Of course those building can be entered so if you wanna see what inside the beautiful historical building, you should enter! Prepare a bucks of Euro and don't forget to check the schedule before you decide to enter! Around the plaza, there are many tents to take a sip of coffee and enjoy the moment, this is my priority recommendation you have to do there!

The most famous spot, Marienplatz

The tower of Neues Rathaus

Neues Rathaus

The subway and tents

2. Max-Joseph Platz

Max-Joseph Platz is also pretty famous because there's a statue of Max-Joseph, a king of Bavaria, an old region and Munich is a capital of it. This plaza is surrounded by Residence Museum, Residenz Theatre, and it's also located near Prada and Louis Vuitton if you want to take a look there. This plaza is also near a station of public transport.

It was under the construction but it's still beautiful anyway

The other corner near Max-Joseph platz

My most favorite street near Prada

3. Ratskeller

Ratskeller is one of the historical restaurant, existed since 19th century. If you wanna try the local food then go ahead! I recommend you this spot because it's unique and old school with those red bricks. I'm sure the interior inside is way more cooler but sadly, I didn't enter there

Isn't it cool?

The beautiful red bricks building

4. Spielzeugmuseum

It's located near Marienplatz and it's a toy museum. It shows every toys from decades. I don't recommend you to enter every buildings I mention in this place, I just want you to take a picture there basically lol. I mean, if you don't wanna waste much money there then just enjoy the building outside because it's more than enough. I want you to go to this place because it's historical and I love the hallway beside its building. It's like entering a magical place and you'll see Marienplatz directly with the birds flying low. Beautiful to imagine, isn't it? I hope you'll be there someday!

Do you see the hallway I mean before?

5. Hofbrauhaus and Orlando Haus

Hofbrauhaus is also a historical restaurant since 16th century. It's located near Orlando Haus which is also a restaurant built in 19th century. Those buildings are beautiful and both are pretty crowded. You can sip a coffee there also!

6. Pfistermuhle

Pfistermuhle is also a restaurant. But I recommend this not because it has a historical architect, but because it's fulled of leaves. Green leaves actually, which I love it so much but sadly I just saw it from the bus and didn't go there:( Oh, and it's also an ancient historical restaurant built in 16th century

That green leaves building is Pfistermuhle

7. Munzstraße

Straße means street in Germany. Munzstraße is one of the street in old town which I mention here because it's beautiful. It has a colorful buildings and it's located near Hard Rock cafe and Hofbrauhaus.

Beautiful isn't it?

I love how their wall is painted clearly and beautifully

8. Orlandostraße

Orlando street is located near Munz street as you can see from the picture above. This street is actually where Orlando Haus, Hofbrauhaus, and Hard Rock are located. But I recommend you this street because many souvenir shops are also located in here. One of it has the cheapest compared to another but I forgot the name so you should enter all of it and compare the price on your own :D

Buying some postcards is a must for me!

The buildings are also colorful

9. Alter Hof

Alter Hof is an emperial residence in the old town and I found it accidentally when I was on my way to find Hard Rock. So I just take one picture because it's amazed me. It's like in the Harry Potter world or something.

Isn't it like in the Harry Potter? lol

Sooo, among those 9 spots, which one is your favorite?
